Located less than 20min from Baltimore, Hanover, Crofton, Ft. Meade, Laurel, Columbia, and Annapolis, we are a 7500 sq/ft facility dedicated to CrossFit. Utilizing the CrossFit methodology of fitness and nutrition, we strive to bring the reality of elite levels of fitness to the masses.  Special Forces, expecting mothers, collegiate athletes, military members, business executives, police officers, grandmothers and grandfathers, fire fighters, high school athletes, and regular folks like you and I have all walked through our doors and have been positively impacted by our training regimen.

Friday, 01.27.12: CrossFit Elements

CrossFit BWI will now be offering a Elements class into the normal schedule of our classes. Following your private training series or our On Ramp class, Elements is where you continue to develop your foundation of strength and general fitness, ultimately working towards mastering the skills to gain entry to our Level 1 group class. This program will be helpful for anyone that has some holes in their game. The programming will be different than normal classes, but will still be based off of CrossFit Methodology. Anyone looking to improve the basics is welcome to attend. Classes will consist of a period of olympic training(Snatch, Clean and Jerk, Thrusters, Push Press, Power Clean, etc.), then a strength lift (Squat, Press, Deadlift), followed by a WOD consisting of standard CrossFit movements. 
 
The goal of this course is to help an individual gain strength while spending extra time making sure correct form is achieved through slow progressions. 
This is not just for people who just started CrossFitting...I repeat this is not just for people who just started CrossFitting! This will be helpful for anyone that wants to gain strength while continuing to gain proficiency in essential CrossFit movements.

If one of your goals is to be able to do WOD's RX'd? This program will help you get there!
Even Chuck Norris didn't start CrossFit WOD's RX'd without some serious strength and skill work!
The class will be held during the normal 5:30 class time on Mondays and Wednesdays, and on Friday at 5:30 in the Strength Area. 
For those of you that are worried that this class will be different and take you away from CrossFit, I assure you it won't...it will only help you reach your goals. It is still CrossFit, we will still do WOD's, still lift heavy weights, and will still incorporate strongman training on wednesdays. It will just be better suited for an individual that needs help with form and a better strength progression.

Wednesday, 01.25.12: Clean It and Jerk It!

REPOST and Reminder:  This is a steal and there are a limited number of spots!

Join Super Coach Aaron Adams in learning how to properly Clean and Jerk.

These Classes are designed to instruct you on how to do a proper, competent snatch and clean and jerk lift. Both 3 hour courses goes through the movements of the lifts from the hang down to the floor. Intensity will be low and technique will be emphasized.

Cost is $15 for members and $30 dollars for non members(per class)

CrossFit BWI Foundations Beginner Workshop: Monday/Wednesday 7:30pm

Feb 6th - 29th

The Foundations Beginners Workshop is designed to take the generaly healthy orthopedic and injury free athletes through the basics of CrossFit exercises and prepare them for moving into group classes with a firm understanding of the movements and the necessary substitutions to meet their specific needs. Enrollment will be limited to 12 people and will consist of two days per week for 4 weeks for a total of 8 sessions at $190. Make sure that you can commit to each day and time before enrolling into Foundations. Attendance is mandatory and all classes must be completed within one month. If you have to miss a class for any reason, you will be charged $60 for your first make-up and for any subsequent make-up. You will also be able to attend unlimited Workout of the Day classes after your 4th Foundations Class. Upon completion of Foundations, you will automatically be signed up for an 6 month 3x week membership. If you wish to attend at another membership option, unlimited, 3 month, 12 month OR if you would like to cancel your membership at CrossFit BWI, simply email info@crossfitbwi.com and we'll change/cancel it within 48 hours. No Discounts or Refunds will be given. Advanced registration and payment is required.

Tuesday, 01.17.12: Yoga Tuesdays

New Yoga Class Time!

We are happy to announce that we will now be offering Yoga on Tuesday at 8pm.  This will be held in the strength area and will last an hour.  

Online Sign up is required for Tuesday and Saturday Yoga Classes Only.
